2010 STEP BY STEP: PROCESS OF AN ELECTION
by Patrice Fogarty, TRMC; Mary Kayser, TRMC; Sherry Mashburn, TRMC; and Toni Milam, TRMC
This highly popular booklet is currently in-production, but we are accepting advance orders. Last year's Step By Step booklet was 534 pages, and we anticipate the 2010 version will be a similar length. This invaluable guide is packed with basic information, SOS election forms, and samples of election documents (in both English and Spanish) from city secretaries. This booklet is revised each year. This edition includes new forms, new exhibits, any new legislation, and has been formatted for the May 8, 2010, municipal general election.
How To Purchase the Step By Step booklet:
Those registered for the Pre-Seminar Session will receive a Step By Step booklet as part of their Pre-Seminar Session registration fee.
Those attending the Election Law Seminar (but not the Pre-Seminar Session) may order Step By Step booklets via the registration form. Your booklets will be given to you at registration.
Those not attending the seminar may order Step By Step booklets via our mail-order form. Your booklets will be mailed to you after the seminar.

If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute, a refund or transfer to a subsequent seminar (less a $25 processing fee) will be honored if written cancellation is received by Monday, December 28. No refunds will be honored after that date. Please allow 2-4 weeks to process refunds. (email miriam.sheehan@unt.edu or fax 940-565-2012)

The Texas Municipal Clerks Certification Program will make every reasonable effort to make its seminars accessible to persons with disabilities. Persons with disabilities requiring special facilities or equipment, please let us know at least 10 days in advance of the seminar date.

Exams will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, January 11, for those TMCCP enrollees who have signed up to take a course exam. (learn more about examinations) |
The Texas Municipal Clerks Certification Program is recognized and endorsed by IIMC.
