Introduction
To the
Texas Municipal Clerks
Certification Program
The Texas Municipal Clerks Certification Program is a self-paced distance learning program that consists of four courses.

|
|
Each of the four courses consists of:
- HomeworkEnrollees receive a homework binder which contains four modules of homework. Homework is submitted for grading.
- ExaminationEnrollees must pass an examination over the homework.
- SeminarsEnrollees must attend two full TMCCP seminars pertaining to the course.
|
| Each course consists of homework, an examination, and two seminars. |
| |
Each course will require approximately 50 hours of study.
The courses may be taken in any order. There is no time limit
to complete courses.
The four TMCCP courses are as follows:

An enrollee works on one course at a time, submitting homework as it is completed, attending seminars when convenient. The enrollee earns a certificate for each completed course.
When the enrollee finishes all four courses, the enrollee graduates, earning a final certificate and the Texas Registered Municipal Clerk (TRMC) designation. After certification, recertification is required every five years.
