Seminar Highlights

This seminar will feature attorney Alan Bojorquez and a panel of expert consultants. They will present the new legislative bills from the 86th Texas Legislature that pertain to and impact municipalities.

Seminar Speakers

Alan BojorquezThis seminar will feature attorney Alan Bojorquez and a panel of expert consultants.

Alan Bojorquez, principal, Bojorquez Law Firm, PC, serves as city attorney or special counsel to cities across Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech University with his Bachelor of Arts in English, Master of Public Administration, and Doctor of Jurisprudence. Alan served as a staff attorney for the Texas Municipal League. He has Merit Certification in Municipal Law from the Texas City Attorneys Association and is a TCAA Board Member. Alan is a Board Member for the International Municipal Lawyers Association, an IMLA Local Government Fellow Outstanding Government Lawyer for 2018 by the State Bar of Texas, Government Law Section. September 2018, Alan was named an Honorary Member of the International City/County Management Association, ICMA. He is the author of TMCA's Texas Municipal Law and Procedure Manual, sixth edition.

Schedule of Events

The seminar begins at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, and ends at noon on Friday, Aug. 23.

On Thursday the seminar runs from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., with breaks and luncheon. On Friday, the seminar runs from 8 a.m. until noon, with a break midway.

Registration includes the cost of the Thursday luncheon and beverage breaks.

Refund Policy

If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute, a refund or transfer to a subsequent seminar—less a $25 processing fee—will be honored if written cancellation is received by Aug. 7, 2019. No refunds can be honored after that date. Please allow two to four weeks to process refunds.

Scholarships and travel stipends are available to assist eligible applicants!
