The Texas Municipal Clerks Association (TMCA) is dedicated to supporting and advancing municipal clerks, city secretaries, and local government professionals across Texas through education, networking, leadership development, and professional resources.

Whether you are new to the profession or have years of experience, TMCA provides opportunities to connect with peers, grow professionally, and stay informed on issues impacting municipal government.

Membership Types & Dues

Please Note: Membership dues will increase to $150/year beginning October 1, 2026. Current rate is available through September 30, 2026.
Regular Membership - $125
Designed for individuals currently serving as a municipal clerk or city secretary. Regular members may vote in association business matters and hold elected office within TMCA.
Associate Membership - $125
Ideal for deputy clerks, assistant clerks, records managers, administrative staff, or professionals who work closely with municipal clerk functions. Associate members receive the same access to educational and networking opportunities but do not vote in association business matters.
Retired Membership - $15
For retired professionals who wish to stay involved, mentor others, and remain connected to the municipal clerk community.
Prospect Membership - $0
A free introductory option for individuals exploring the profession or considering future involvement with TMCA.
